14MAY18_XXXXXL56ENDIA: A Journey Through India
India is a country rich in culture and diverse in landscape. Its vibrant cities, picturesque countryside, and ancient temples attract visitors from all over the world. I recently had the opportunity to travel to India and explore its beauty. This is my journey through the wonders of India.
Delhi: The Capital City
My trip began in Delhi, the bustling capital city of India. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I was bombarded with the sights, sounds, and smells of the vibrant city. Delhi is a fusion of modernity and tradition. The city is home to some of the country's most iconic landmarks, such as the Red Fort, the India Gate, and the Lotus Temple.
One of the highlights of my trip to Delhi was exploring the Chandni Chowk market. The narrow alleyways were imbued with the smells of spices and street food, while the colorful shops selling textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts attracted my attention. A visit to Delhi is incomplete without trying the famous street food, such as the mouth-watering chaat and golgappas.

The next stop on my itinerary was Agra, home to the world-famous Taj Mahal. Agra was also the place where I met Ramesh, a young boy selling postcards outside the Taj Mahal. Ramesh was a bright and curious child who spoke English fluently. He was passionate about learning and had a thirst for knowledge. Through my conversations with Ramesh, I realized the importance of education and the potential of every child, regardless of their background.
Our encounter left a deep impression on me, and I decided to make a contribution towards Ramesh's education. I learned that there are many organizations in India that work towards providing education for underprivileged children, and I decided to support their cause.
Jaipur: The Pink City
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, is known as the Pink City because of the pink hues of the city walls. The city is known for its palaces and forts, and the breathtaking Amer Fort was one of the highlights of my trip. The intricate carvings on the walls and the beautiful gardens within the fort made me feel like I had stepped back in time.
Jaipur is also known for its vibrant textiles, and the local markets were a treasure trove of colorful fabrics and handicrafts. I spent hours exploring the shops and haggling with the vendors.

My final destination was Goa, a coastal state known for its beaches and nightlife. After the hectic pace of Delhi and Jaipur, Goa was a welcomed change of pace. The beautiful beaches, swaying palm trees, and warm weather were the perfect backdrop for relaxation.
Goa is also known for its cuisine, which reflects its Portuguese heritage. I sampled the famous seafood and sipped on the locally-brewed feni. The laid-back vibe of Goa made it the ideal location for my last few days in India.
In conclusion, my journey through India was a transformative experience. The country's rich history, vibrant culture, and warm people left a deep impact on me. It also made me realize the importance of education and the potential of every child. India may be a land of contradictions, but it is also a land of endless possibilities.
